September Pick 3 Linky

It's time to link up again with Pawsitively Teaching and Inspired Owl's Corner for Pick 3:  This Month's Top Pinterest Picks!

My first pin is from Life in First Grade.  It's amazing to me that first graders are working on showing evidence in their response to reading, because that is something we work on in fifth grade all year!

I love this bulletin board as it's a great resource for students to use all year long.  I'm working on my own version of it right now and will share pictures soon!

I love this next pin for back to school time!

Jillian from the Starr Spangled Planner explains how to do this great back to school activity where students write advertisements to describe what they are looking for in a new friend and what kind of friend they will be to others.  This could easily be adapted at various grade levels.  Such a wonderful idea!

My third pin is from We are Teachers.

50 tips, tricks, and ideas for 5th grade: 50 tips, tricks, and ideas for 5th grade

This has some great tips for beginning teachers, teachers new to fifth grade, and even for veteran fifth grade teachers who just need to jump start their teaching brain after the summer slide!  There are general tips like, "Be consistent".  That is huge in a fifth grade classroom when it comes to discipline! There are also specific ideas for activities to do at back to school time, ways to motivate your students to behave, and so much more!

As you can see, I'm all about back to school right now with only four days to go until the big day!  Be sure to check out all the other great Pinterest picks for September below!
